The LTC300 is popular with the research community and used by experimentalists at many of the big particle accelerators (synchrotrons). Piezo LEGS® technology is ideal for any 'move-and hold' application, and the LTC300 delivers nanometer resolution with load capacity of 300 N with a 20 mm stroke. Its friction drive ensures full-force, power-off locking while avoiding mechanical play or backlash. Power consumption is zero when holding position by friction clamping.

    For applications in industry or research where the demand for nanometer precision is combined with a need to move heavy loads, the LTC300 is your first choice. The Piezo LEGS® technology delivers sub-nanometer resolution and capability to make minuscule adjustments of position (open or closed loop), as well as strokes of 20 mm with load capacity of ~30 kg (300N). When close loop positioning on target the power consumption is close to zero, and the motor heat dissipation is often negligible. If electronics are completely shut off, the motor friction clamping will still hold position steady and shaft will not slip. Because the motor is based on piezoceramic actuators, there is no generation of magnetic flux.
