This is our standard range of Piezo LEGS® rotary motors. Our patented piezoelectric technology gives sub-microradian resolution while direct drive ensures motion with zero backlash. These motors combine compact size with high-torque output. They hold position without drawing current and react instantly when starting/stopping.
LR17 version A21 — Standard — With Position Sensor
This is our smallest rotary Piezo LEGS®, with direct drive and high torque output. The integrated 15-bit encoder gives closed loop resolution of 0.2 mrad (0.01°), while open loop resolution is sub-microradian. This motor can be fitted in many OEM applications where conventional motors cannot meet the requirements.
Non-magnetic housing makes this motor suitable for use even in the most sensitive equipment. This motor can for example be used inside of an MRI scanner without creating image artifacts. Compact in size but surprisingly strong, this motor delivers up to 50 mNm torque.
LR80, a compact, high-torque, piezoelectric rotary motor based on Piezo LEGS® technology, features direct friction drive without backlash. It delivers up to 80 mNm torque and will often find room in spaces too small for traditional motors. Its friction drive ensures full-force, power-off locking.
The vacuum version of the LR80 is modified and cleaned for low out-gassing. The rotary piezoelectric motor is based on Piezo LEGS® technology and features direct friction drive without backlash and ultra high resolution. Its friction drive ensures full-force, power-off locking with holding torque over 80 mNm.
